Biomuseo as it is called is the only building in the Latinamerica and the tropics designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry. This building was designed to tell a story on how Panama divided the two oceans and united a continent, changing the world’s diversity for ever. The museum has eight galleries, where five are already finished. It also has a gift shop and cafe where you can enjoy after the tour is done.
When you tour the museum, it’s an interactive experience from the moment you walk in. They have made learning about all different species fun and interesting for people of all ages. My favourite gallery is Panamarama because it touches all your senses, you feel in the middle of the rainforest.
The Biomuseo is located in the Amador Causeway overlooking both oceans, the Panama Canal and the historic district.
To visit the biomuseo, they are open every week day from 10am to 4pm except Tuesdays. On the weekend they open from 10am to 5pm
Below are some pictures of the tour I did recently, hope you enjoy!
