I have always been a gypsy at heart. I don’t know where I get this passion to travel, but I enjoy every minute of it. When I was younger I always told myself that I would travel the world and find a partner that would enjoy it as much as I do.
Flash forward to the new century and my husband travels like nobodies business. For many of his trips I go with him, we find and make time between work and leisure which is always nice. Now, with baby, it’s a tad different but still fun.
When we started traveling together I would only travel with comfort, or as my husband calls it, college style. Little by little he taught me to improve my way of dressing when I traveled. So, I went from college style to full blown not comfortable. It was comfortable when walking around but not when you have to take off and and put back on every time you go through a check point at the airport or when traveling for long hours.
So, I think I finally mastered it and it goes as follows for easy and stylish, traveling.
- Make sure to travel with comfortable, easy to put on and take off shoes. If you decide to travel with sandals, just make sure to take with you a pair of socks, you don’t want to put your feet on airport rugs (ugh!)
- Wear comfortable pants, they can be a bit oversized but well tailored, track pants with a nice button down shirt or leggings with an oversized shirt.
- Be sure that your carry on does fit the over head bin and that it is not excruciatingly heavy that you can’t pick it up to store it.
Hope these tips help you on your next trip.
